The reason behind this peculiar arrangement is that the cubs’ biological mother, a lioness, unfortunately, fell ill and was unable to provide the care her offspring needed. Fortunately, a compassionate dog stepped in to fill the void. The tiny cubs engage in playful scuffles as they compete for their next meal, and they joyfully nurse from their new surrogate mother with contentment.

Back in 2007, images of ‘Hunai’ nurturing three tiger cubs took the internet by storm and captured the hearts of animal enthusiasts globally. However, animal experts emphasize that it is a common practice to assign abandoned baby animals to surrogate mothers of the same species to prevent future instances of abandonment.
Although the surrogate mother might find it challenging, these three cubs are overjoyed to cuddle up with their extraordinary parent.
